The end of the box was opened and the toy inside is new, I put 3 AAA batteries in it to test and it is working with sounds, if the cap on the batteries isnt screwed on all the way I didnt get sound. It light up green and makes realistic sounds. This lightsaber should be used as an adult collectible it is for ages 12 and up. Durable , metal hilt looks and feels like a real lightsaber. Has some kinda of a disply piece inside the box, also the other piece of styrofoam is in the box, wouldnt come out without opening the whole thing. Has instructions with the display piece.
